                                                            In search of Life

Like the song goes.....”All my life I've been searching for something
Something never comes, never leads to nothing
Nothing satisfies but I am getting close
Closer to the prize at the end of the rope
All night long I dream of the day
When it comes around, then it’s taken away.”

Most of us in this world are always in search of something. On the verge of our search we chase many things like money, power, name, fame, relationship, material comfort etc. But even if we get everything, it is ironic to know that our search never ends! Again we get involved for the next level of chasing and thus how life ends while chasing! In this process we do not know what we are searching for and this is why our search never ends.

The adverse affect of all these is that even if we get everything we want, we never are satisfied and ultimately in the long run we become empty inside. We become confused about our goal and lack energy to chase anything else and may go into a deep depression.

Then the question arises: what are we searching? and why are we searching?

The answer is very simple, we are searching for our self, our identity and we are searching because we have forgotten something that we have originally.

We are like someone who is lost in a 'mela' (carnival) and does not know his whereabouts. It is quite difficult for anyone to help him for his search and even for him it's equally difficult. Like the same way we also forget our identity and our address in course of time.

Every individual is an immortal soul which takes physical body in every birth for a certain period of time and plays different roles like mother, father, sister, brother etc. The soul is an energy which is originally pure, peaceful, blissful, happy and full of love. But today we all have forgotten these original qualities within ourselves and searching for love, peace and happiness from outside world. We forget that we are the soul and not the body, body is just a costume, which we change in every birth.

We, the souls are the children of GOD. GOD is the supreme energy, our absolute parent who loves us unconditionally. He is the ocean of love, bliss, peace, purity, happiness and power.

Now our search ends as we understood “Who we are?” and it’s time to realize and accept GOD’s unconditional love and bliss to emerge our original qualities and explore the unlimited happiness within…

  1. This is a good read... I really liked the metaphor of Mela.

  2. I am now convinced- this is not my personal problem, rather a problem of all the people of my age to spend time in search of the questions such as 'what we want' and 'who we are'......

  3. The whole problem starts because we are not searching inside for our goal or problems. We search happiness, peace & comfort in materials, money, power. If we will start understanding our soul; we'll get solution of all our problems.
